Azzalure, our chosen brand of botulinum toxin is a naturally derived protein which acts upon nerve endings to reduce the action of these nerves and thereby the muscles which they supply. When used cosmetically it reduces the strength of the muscles in the face that cause lines. The most common areas for treatment are frown lines, crows feet, and the horizontal lines that run across the forehead.

We will always tailor the treatment to the individual and we aim to create a more natural look by using precise dosing to prevent the 'frozen' look.

We also use Azzalure to prevent drooping of the eyebrows that can become hooded with age. Botox is injected with a fine needle into specific muscles with only very minor discomfort. Azzalure treatment can take an average of 3-7 days to take full effect. The effects of Azzalure are temporary and last from 3-6 months depending on the individual.

Dermal fillers: Dermal fillers are used to reduce lines and wrinkles on any areas of the face. The filler used is based on hyaluronic acid a clear gel which is naturally found in the skin, which gives it its elasticity.

Dermal filler injections provide an easy way to reduce the appearance of wrinkles, smooth the skin and give a more youthful appearance. After local numbing of the skin, fillers are injected into the specific area to be treated. They work immediately to lift the skin and soften lines and after any redness has subsided their overall effect improves. Fillers are also used to define lips or to fill them out to increase the 'pout'. The effect of fillers can last up to 12 months.
