"Relating to my hip and back condition. I would be very pleased to recommend Linda Johnson as a physiotherapist. She has shown great care and focus in her treatment of me as a person and relating to my physical problems."
I had had chronic bilateral hip pain for over two years when I first visited Willaston Physio. All treatments I had tried had failed to improve my pain.
By then I was in a considerable amount of pain and unable to walk any distance. I am delighted that after a thorough examination and a course of ESWT I am very much improved and have reduced pain. My physio explained clearly the treatment and how it works and prescribing a range of exercises to improve muscle tone as well. I cannot thank him enough for improving my quality of life
“I was always really self-conscious about my frown lines, until my friend recommended Willaston Aesthetics to me. I made an appointment and was made to feel at ease straight away, we discussed treatment options during my consultation followed by my treatment and follow up appointment 2 weeks later. I am delighted with the results and would highly recommend – thank you.”
"It is because of Julie's care for my feet that I am able to walk in comfort"
"Just thought you might like to know that I had a great week's skiing, with not a murmur from my back. Many thanks!"
"Dan has been fantastic throughout, showing me functional running movements and explaining ways to stretch out and manage pain whilst keeping me upbeat and positive that I will be fixed"
"I am happy to recommend Paul. His treatment is excellent. He will talk you through cause and affect of pain and suggest a series of exercises to maintain fitness. Not only do you feel better for the physiotherapy but also with a better understanding of how to deal with it and prevent further pain."
"Paul was excellent in diagnosing the problem with my shoulder and arranging for me to have an anti-inflammatory injection at my GP surgery which enabled me to start doing the exercises he set to start the healing process. I would happily recommend Paul to friends and family"
"Belinda is a very good teacher, she makes sure everyone has the positions tailored to suit them. It is also very enjoyable and relaxed."
"I have been coming to Willaston Physio for various injuries for the past 6 years. Neil is great, well qualified and always learning. Having acupuncture from Neil is great, it works great for pain and is actually better than it sounds! I wasn't pushed for acupuncture, he allowed me time to make up my mind and it works a treat! I highly recommend Willaston Physio to anyone. The admin team are so friendly that I can't wait to come every week!"
"Skilled, professional and progressive treatment by a very knowledgeable person, Arun was totally involved in getting me X-rays on the NHS, all leading to a very satisfactory conclusion."
"I have been taking classes for 2 years or so and was very nervous and unsure as I had not done anything like this before. I have a low bone density and have a small amount of oesteoporosis. It has been the best thing I have ever done and helped me gain back my confidence. My back has improved so much and it has opened many other doors for me. I now take 6 classes of different exercise a week and I feel a different person. I enjoy my pilates classes so very much and would and do recommend my pilates classes to many people. It's made me feel young again! I may not be the best in the class but I love it all the same"
"Friendly, efficient practitioner. My treatment made a big difference to my mobility as I had a number of problems. Good advice regarding care of feet etc. I would recommend this service."
"I have found this course extremely educational and relaxing. Learning how to Baby Massage has helped my daughter with her sleep and general well being. Every evening we have our special routine of bath and massage - since doing this class, she has slept through every night! Di is very knowledgeable and experienced teacher, whom I highly recommend. I'll be sorry when the course is finished."
"Concern over a few aching joints and my balance, plus the fact that I have had osteopenia for some time led me to the Better Bones and Better Balance classes at Willaston Physio & Sports Rehab Clinic. The classes are aimed at strengthening the muscles and bones we use in order to "stay safe" - to prevent falls and to prevent pressure on other joints which can lead to pain and injury...simple things like getting up out of a chair.
The classes are "serious" but they are fun. There is great rapport between the class and the physiotherapist. Everything is explained - so we know what we are doing and why we are doing it.
We work hard but the teaching style is such that we feel motivated. We are pushed - but never too far. Whilst we are a group it is recognised that we are individuals with individual needs and concerns.
I enjoy the classes and I always feel better afterwards. Added to which I have a stock of exercises which I can confidently do at home - knowing I am doing the right thing and that they will help."
I have been a runner for 10 years and last year developed Left knee pain. I had acupuncture and a course of electrotherapy after being diagnosed with Patellar tendinitis. After no improvement my GP recommended ESWT. I had a course of 4 treatments and a programme loaded eccentric exercises from Dan at Willaston Physio and I am delighted to report a huge reduction in pain. I am now back running whilst continuing to do my recommended exercises.
“Willaston Aesthetics provide a very professional and high quality service. Attention to detail is at the forefront of every treatment they provide, and to be treated as an individual during each consultation assures you a positive experience. I would highly recommend Willaston Aesthetics and trust their expertise, recommendations and advice every time.”
"I can't recommend Paul Rushton highly enough. He really is an expert, knowledgeable physiotherapist - without him the London Marathon would have been out of my reach.
Despite gait analysis elsewhere, my over pronation went undiagnosed and as a result of the extra mileage during training my calf muscle ruptured - a grade 2 tear just 7 weeks before the marathon.
Paul Rushton spotted the over pronation immediately which meant I could get the correct type of trainers, gave me ultra sound treatment and massage treatment. He also explained the importance of strengthening my leg muscles as well as just running to train for the marathon which I hadn't even heard about. He taught me the exercises I needed which I did for 2 weeks, then he taught me the progressive exercises as my calf strengthened and healed.
Under Paul's expert care, I went from hobbling in pain to running 7 miles the week before the marathon and on the day I finished in 5:18 (and 5 seconds!)
This was only possible because of the treatment I received from Paul Rushton at Willaston Physio - thank you so much. You gave me back my lifetime ambition of completing the London Marathon which wasn't possible without the treatment I received. I'm looking forward to the custom orthotics I need so that my running can continue - there's no stopping me now."
“I sustained an injury to my foot about 5 years ago and have suffered ever since with my knee and hip. I had just assumed it was something I was going to have to live with. Then I met Debra at a local business network and she told me about Willaston Physiotherapy & Sports Rehab – specifically the 3d foot scanner that could do all kinds of wonderful things when assessing problems such as mine. So I booked an appointment with Paul who was brilliant! Not only is he extremely knowledgeable but also his passion for his profession is something else.
So I had a really interesting session with Paul, I learned a lot about the possible reasons for my knee and hip issues which all made sense and it turns out that my problem might not actually be as bad as I first thought. So Paul has set me up with some strengthening exercises plus some good advise and I hoping that this is the beginning of me reducing the pain and improving the abilities I lost from the injury.
I highly recommend Paul and Debra at Willaston Physiotherapy & Sports Rehab and I just wish I had know about them 5 years ago when I initially did my injury. So don’t make the same mistake as me – if you have any underlying issues go and see Paul as soon as possible."
"Willaston Physiotherapy is virtually my second home! I have been suffering from tendonitis periodically for many years and recently sciatic nerve and recovery from a broken back. I cannot stress enough how grateful I am to Linda for her understanding and excellent treatment of my ailments. There is nowhere else that I would go. In my opinion Willaston Physiotherapy are the best and I have no hesitation in recommending them."
"I have had a bad back from the gym now for over 3 weeks, someone recommended Sports Massage and it was amazing. I would recommend this to anyone."
"I had never met Simon before, I was really impressed with the full body sports massage I got. I felt amazing afterwards and I'll defintely be back!"
"I have been attending physio led pilates to improve my muscle tone and psoture following prolapsed cervical discs. The sessions have been very well led by Nicky, who explains the exercises well and supports indivisuals to achieve at their own level. These exercises have helped in my pain management and improved movement."
“Following your expert advice, confident optimism and well-judged
management, I made a great recovery. The training led to completion of
Iron Man 2013 on a very hot day in Bolton!
Thank you! Very grateful for your expertise!”
“The wrinkle relaxing injections I have had was in three areas, my forehead, in between my eyes and my crow’s feet. It took about five to seven days to kick in, but once it did I was absolutely over the moon!! It is definitely value for money and I would recommend Linda (Willaston Aesthetics) to all my clients. I am an ongoing customer and therefore the effects last a bit longer each time.”
